On Tuesday 21 January, representatives of the ALF had the privilege of attending the Crédit Agricole (CA) CIB offices in London to receive a cheque for £4000 from the Helping Hands Charitable Fund.
The ALF was nominated for this prestigious award by CA staff member, and Rayleigh resident, Matt Radley. He was required to submit a summary of ALF charitable activities and objectives and why he felt the ALF would be worthy recipients to the CA Charity Committee who then distributed the funds amongst 9 diverse but praiseworthy charitable organisations on the day.
ALF Trustee, Steve Fraser gave a short presentation to the assembled charities and CA staff where he was able to highlight the ALF origins and work to date, including a case study using Lexi Chambers and her ALF supported journey from amputation to multiple endurance World Records.
The whole ALF team are extremely grateful to Matt for his successful nomination and to the CA CIB Charitable Fud for their generosity.
