About the ALF 10s

The ALF 10s is the largest charity rugby tournament in Essex and the flagship event of the Aaron Lewis Foundation.

What started as a small 4-team tournament run by a group of Aaron’s close friends in 2009 has expanded year after year into a significant event for our local community and the wider rugby-playing public. It captures Aaron’s spirit perfectly with a combination of sport, fundraising, music, family, fancy dress, and of course (Aaron’s favourite) sambuca.

Over the years, the event has raised tens of thousands of pounds, with all profits going to the Aaron Lewis Foundation.

The tournament has become an essential event for clubs and supporters in Essex’s rugby community. However, teams, supporters, and other stakeholders from far and wide also participate. Aaron’s regiment always fields a team, and we often welcome teams from France and Belgium.

The ALF 10s tournament is held at Westcliff Rugby Club, where Aaron began his rugby career. This club has built strong bonds with the Aaron Lewis Foundation and we are thankful for their continued support.
