A combined 29 and 42 Commando rugby team, sporting half of the ALF supplied strip, has triumphed in the annual Royal Marines/3 Commando Brigade Argyll Bowl competition at Sandy Park in Exeter.

The tournament is played annually in honour of the historic links between the Royal Marines and the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders with a member of the latter normally serving a tour of duty with 42 Commando.

The team defeated the Commando Training Centre to get to the final where they beat a combined Royal Marines team 26-24 to scoop victory. In a gesture fitting of the bonds between the two units, they played in 29 Commando ALF shirts and 42 Commando shorts!

Many congratulations to both units and we look forward to seeing the 29 team in action at the upcoming ALF 10s tournament on 12 July.
