The Aaron Lewis Foundation has stepped into help children with special educational needs parted from toys and equipment due to the Covid pandemic.
Many youngsters are currently unable to access the sensory kit either because they have been isolating or it is not available at their nurseries across Southend.
The ALF was approached to provide equipment that could be loaned out to parents for the children to use in their own homes – bringing an added boost in a gloomy time.
Tracy Bakonyvari, early years SEN advisor with Southend Council, said: “The Aaron Lewis Foundation has helped children with special educational needs and disabilities under the age of five to access to sensory and learning materials.
“The SEND Early Years Team at Southend are so excited to share this with families who are having a tough time at the moment.”
