Jim Riley completes London Triathlon in aid of the ALF

Last weekend, Jim Riley completed the London Triathlon in an impressive 2hrs 57mins 12sec, raising funds for the ALF in the process.

In 2017, the ALF presented Jim and Cara’s son Conall with a specially-adapted handcycle to get him back riding again, having been struck by a rare bone cancer and having his right leg amputated below the knee due to the effects of Ewings Sarcoma. He enjoyed the freedom the bike gave him so much, he cycled 13 miles on the first day he had it!

The Rileys have since handed the bike back to the ALF due to Conall’s progression – he recently took part in para-triathlon – and a new recipient, Bethany, is benefitting from it.

Following the event Jim described it as a “successful mission”, having finished comfortably within his 3hr target.

You can still support Jim on his JustGiving page.

Thank you and congratulations Jim!
