A GROUP of fitness fanatics have raised nearly £350 for the Aaron Lewis Foundation through a competition and social event.
Friends and family of those who train at The Cooper Effect Personal Training base were invited to watch the in-house “friendly” event.
The 24 participants were split into eight teams and competed against one another in tyre flips, burpees, shuttle runs and thrusters.
Coach Ricky Cooper was on hand to offer motivation, while all those in attendance also gave their support while to enjoying a barbecue and the social evening – raising £347.50 in the process.
Ricky said: “Part of my mission statement when I started all this 18 months ago was to build a community within a community. It is about using health and fitness to bring people together in a friendly environment to make new friends.
“The Aaron Lewis Foundation is something close to my heart, and I will endeavour to continue making any contribution I can in this fine young man’s name.”
