The Aaron Lewis Foundation (ALF) has purchased an all weather cover for the Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) that was co-funded by the ALF and Morrions Foundation in 2018 for the Plymouth and Devon Schools Sailing Association (PDSSA). PDSSA President Mike Duffiled MBE said:
“The Aaron Lewis boat is now ready for a busy season, she has been anti-fouled and has just had her annual engine service. A generous grant from The Norman Family Charitable Trust has enabled the sailing school to purchase a trailer for the Aaron Lewis so she is now fully equipped. Your generous support in purchasing the cover is greatly appreciated.”
“In addition she has recently been fitted with a Rib-hoist, which will help getting heavier people aboard in the event of a capsize or man overboard situation. She is running really well and we are expecting a much more active season for her this year.”
Since the start of the sailing season, she has been supporting Sailability courses in Plymouth Sound and the wider area by providing wheelchair accessible safety cover for the crews and it is a delight for everyone to know she is still doing her bit.
