THE Aaron Lewis Foundation has again funded first aid courses for military personnel at the Recovery Centre at Colchester’s Merville Barracks.
The sessions are for injured soldiers either preparing to return to military duties or being medically discharged and looking for new opportunities.
The first course of 2019 was held in April and the latest just last week.
Captain Chris Butt, from the PRC, said: “The feedback was extremely positive and has shown our veterans are gaining so much more from this course than ‘just a qualification’.”
He also said some students were able to “overcome significant barriers” in their recovery as a result of taking part in the training.
He added: “To that end, I continue to be extremely grateful for your support.”
One of the participants said the course was “worth its weight in gold”.
The ALF plans to finance more first aid courses at the PRC.
