ALF AND OTHER CHARITIES BENEFIT FROM STAR-STUDDED 24-HOUR SNOOKER, POOL AND DARTS EVENT

Article by Julia Harvey

On August 5th, 2023, a 24-hour snooker, darts, and pool marathon was held in Essex to benefit the Aaron Lewis Foundation, the Motor Nerone Disease Association, and the Brain Tumour Charity. The event was co-organized by Ross, Aaron’s cousin, and hosted by Lanes Snooker Club, where former snooker World Champion Stuart Bingham played against anyone willing to donate. The event featured many celebrity guests who helped raise funds for these worthy causes.

Thanks to donations, sponsorships, a raffle, and an auction, the event was able to raise a total of £6,570.31 for each of the three charities involved. This touching event was a wonderful success, and we are extremely grateful for the generosity of all those who contributed and helped to organise it. This donation will help us to continue to transform lives through sport and community action in the local area and nationally for service and ex-service personnel.
