ALF and Barratt Homes bring festive cheer to Little Heroes ASD

Article by Ryan Brown

In the run up to Christmas 2015, the Aaron Lewis Foundation were so proud to help our partner Barratt Homes, bring some festive cheer to the children and families of Little Heroes ASD (Autism specturum disorder) Support Group.

Thanks to this collaboration, we were able to contribute to providing the presents for Santa to deliver to the children –  many of whom were meeting him for the first time – at their grotto.

As Kim Drake from Little Heroes explains: “For many of our children this has been the first time that they have been able to be in close proximity to Santa – so to actually sit, chat and receive a present from the big fella is a massive achievement. For their parents it was wonderful for them to be part of; with a public grotto, there is constant fear and worry about how their child will react and what may snowball from that.”

Thank you once again to Barratt Homes for giving us the opportunity to help Little Heroes at such a special time.
