ALF Golf Fund Raiser on Par

Article by Julia Harvey

Another well-supported and highly successful golf fundraising event took place on 7 June at Rochford Hundred Golf Club organised by Ross Druitt. 69 golfers took part in glorious conditions and
in the process raised an incredible £3950 for the Aaron Lewis Foundation.

Iain McDonald took first place in the individual category and was also part of the winning team along with Jack Dorner, Charlie Brown and Mark Dutton. David Owen produced the longest drive on the 16th and Gareth Rosier nearest the pin on the 7th.

Aaron’s cousin Ross is a great supporter of the ALF and has organised a number of sport-themed fundraising events and it was good to see his young son Hudson getting ready to follow in his Dad’s footsteps on the day in his caddie outfit.

As always, our thanks go to Ross and Julia Druitt for all their hard work delivering the day, Rochford Hundreds Golf Club for hosting and supporting the event, and all those who took part to make the day such a success.
