The seventh annual ALF 10s took place on Saturday 13th June 2015.
The rugby 10s tournament, our flagship event, has grown steadily since it’s inception in 2009; this year we were delighted to welcome no fewer than thirteen teams from across the country to Westcliff Rugby Club, our long time partner and supporter.
This year’s worthy victors and recipients of the coveted Aaron Lewis Cup were the Phallus Warriors, who also won in 2013. The impressive Team ALF (appearing in their first ALF 10s) were runners up, while 29 Commando (Aaron’s regiment) picked up the Plate and Jack’s Journeymen guzzled from the Beer Cup. As always, the rugby was sumptuous. As always, the support was outstanding. As always, the party was epic – Aaron would have been proud!
We are proud to announce that we raised an impressive £6,350 – our best yet.
The trustees and everyone involved with the Foundation would like to thank all of this year’s teams (the bar was raised again); the supporters; our sponsors and everyone who helped in making the day a roaring success.
Finally, special thanks should go to Patric Redding, Simon Jones, Jonathan Fozard and Chris Whiston for once again delivering the best rugby tournament in the country – may the ALF 10s continue to grow and thrive in Aaron’s honour.
The Trustees.
