Paul Vickers to run Reading Half Marathon for ALF

Article by Ryan Brown

A grandad will don his running shoes and raise money for the Aaron Lewis Foundation this weekend.

Paul Vickers, 62, will be taking on the Vitality Reading Half Marathon, with the route finishing at Reading FC’s Madejski Stadium.

He said: “I initially set out to do this just as a personal challenge. But then I thought that if I’m going to run, then I should at least raise something for ALF.

“Aaron was a very close friend of my youngest son and was due to have been Best Man at his wedding.”

Dad-of-two and grandad-of-four Paul, from Newbury, Berkshire, is collecting money through his JustGiving page – www.justgiving.com/fundraising/paulvickers01 – as well as gaining sponsors at Alpla (UK) Ltd, where he works as a production manager.

Best of luck for the run on Sunday Paul.
